2015 Ford Ranger Wildtrak Facelift in Videos
KUALA LUMPUR: Ford Ranger has been in the rumours about its existence in the world. The brand has released two videos showing the 2015 Ford Ranger Wildtrak in the 4WD embodiment moving across the rugged areas doing stunts like paddling through water, towing heavy loads which can't be done by normal cars.
The top-variant Wildtrak is Pridely painted with Orange colour. As, this is a facelift version, the engines under the hood will be the same as were armed in the previous version. This makes the customer feasible to purchase an engine either a 3.2-litre variable geometry turbodiesel producing 200 PS and 470 Nm, or Duratorq TDCi 2.2-litre variable geometry turbodiesel delivering 158 PS and 385 Nm.
The commercials released by the company suggest the presence of a safety feature called Rollover Mitigation. The function of this feature is to detect whether the car's weight is shifted to any one specific side that can cause it to flip over. If the system detects a potential roll-over, brakes are applied automatically that ensure the weight is balanced and roll-over is avoided.
Additionally, the facelifted car adopts complete assist systems from its recent version; it consists of Hill Launch Assist and Hill Descent Control. It is not decided yet that whether Malaysia based Ranger models will sport the optional locking rear differential or more requiring tech like Forward Alert, Lane Keeping Aid, Lane Keeping Alert, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, and driver Impairment Monitor. Let’s hope that it will be equipped with all the above aspects. As far as the prices are concerned, the Ranger Wildtrak 3.2 is available in Malaysia at RM 119.350.
