Powertrain

The GLS 450 4Matic slips under the seven-figure mark and at that it packs a 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine making a maximum power output of 381 PS from 5,800 rpm to 6,100 rpm and 500 Nm at 1,800 rpm. Also, part of the setup is a 48-volt mild hybrid system with an integrated starter-alternator (ISG) offering a boost of 20 PS and 200 Nm.

The drive is sent to all four wheels is a nine-speed automatic transmission, propelling the SUV to go from 0-100 km/h in 6.1 seconds and attain a top speed of 250 km/h.

Giving the user first-class comfort both on poor and good roads is AIRMATIC Package, an adaptive damping system. The system automatically adjusts to the driving conditions, speed, and load.
