Here are the key highlights of the new Toyota Hiace SLWB 10-seater van

Starting Apr 1, 2024, UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) started accepting orders for the all-new Hiace 10-seater window van in Super Long Wheelbase guise.

The new Hiace was long anticipated in the market by Toyota’s business partners. While introducing the van UMWT president Datuk Ravindran Kurusamy said, “We have received numerous requests from our business partners eagerly awaiting the new Hiace. With the introduction of the Super Long Wheelbase model, we are proud to offer our customers a vehicle that not only meets but exceeds their expectations regarding space, power, and comfort.”

We have already shared key specifications of the new Hiace SLWB in our previous post and now it’s time to concentrate on the van’s key highlights/features. So, let’s get started -

The 6th gen Hiace comprises several features that add to the vehicle’s form and functionality. Part of the list is the -

7-inch Display Audio system: Placed on the center of the dashboard is a 7-inch display audio system which includes a dual-speaker system and reverse camera (it helps the driver in parking and maneuvering)

Meter Cluster: Offering the driver all the required information at a glance is the analog meter panel with Multi-information Display

Front and Rear Air-conditioning: The Hiace comes fitted with an efficient air-con system that keeps the van cool during the hot summer days. Also, the driver and passengers get independent controls to adjust blower speeds to the preferred level.

Comfortable & spacious Cabin: The Hiace SLWB offers an expansive interior with rear seats equipped with headrests and reclining function; together offering unparalleled comfort to the passengers. Also part of the kit is two power outlets, a lamp within the sliding door step, and built-in RFID.

Interior storage: The 10-seater Toyota van offers enough space for passengers' luggage and day-journey essentials. For instance, it comes with overhead storage space that maximizes the storage space most conveniently. Also, the sunglass compartment is convenient for storing glasses along with other small items

The all-new Toyota Hiace enjoys a capable and efficient powertrain which the automaker claims to break new ground in the category

Powerful 1GD Engine: Offering a perfect balance between power and fuel economy, the 2.8-litre turbo diesel unit pumps out a maximum power output of 177 PS at 3,400 rpm along with a peak torque of 450 Nm from 1,600 to 2,400 rpm

6-speed Automatic with Sequential Shift: The Hiace SLWB is the only automatic window van in the country with a 6-speed automatic transmission which undoubtedly makes transporting loads easy
