2024 Honda CR-V: Detailed in images

Honda Malaysia launched the all-new CR-V in December 2023, giving customers another great gem to drive and see the world around in style. The sixth-gen SUV made its debut in four trim options - three turbo units and one hybrid.

Variants

Honda is offering the 2023 CR-V in four trim options - 1.5 S, 1.5 E, 1.5 V AWD, and the e:HEV RS hybrid.

Price

CR-V’s price ranges from RM 159,900 to RM 195,900. It was only recently that Honda revealed the price of the CR-V range-topping mode, the CR-V e:HEV RS in Malaysia.

Dimensions

The CR-V is a big car hailing from the sports utility vehicle family and its dimensions do justice to its robust aura.

• Fuel tank capacity - 57-liter

Compared to the previous-gen model this one is 68 mm longer, 11 mm wider, and 2 mm taller. The wheelbase is stretched by 40 mm.

Powertrain

Out of the four variants, three are powered by a 1.5-litre DOHC turbo four-pot mill making a maximum power output of 193 PS at 1,600 rpm along with a peak torque of 243 Nm from 1,700 to 5,000 rpm. This is the same engine that powered the previous gen model, however, this time around the automaker made some minor revisions to make the unit quieter and improve acceleration. Like before this unit is paired with the familiar Earth Dream CVT which again has been tweaked to limit noise and vibration.

The range-topping CR-V e:HEV RS is powered by an Intelligent Multi-Mode Drive system which combines the work of a petrol engine and an electric motor. Acting as a primary generator is a 2.0-liter naturally-aspirated Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder engine making 148 PS at 6,100 rpm and 190 Nm at 4,500 rpm. The e-motor, on the other hand, develops 184 PS at 5,000 to 8,000 rpm and 335 Nm from 0 to 2,000 rpm.
